In India the new Tez mobile application from the Google company is started. It allows to make instant payments between individuals, is also applicable at small business. The word Tez in translation from Hindi means “fast”.

In India there are about 300 million smartphones, but only in rather small amount from them support of NFC technology is realized. The Tez application is focused on owners of devices of the initial and average level. It is connected to the local system of payments of UPI (Unified Payments Interface) thanks to what allows to transfer safe money between accounts of all 55 banks of India. The Tez Shield platform from Google which allows to reveal fraud is applied to safety and to protect data of users.

The Tez application includes the technology called by Audio QR which allows users to establish connection between two devices by means of sounds. In that case smartphones coordinate connection with use of audio for identification of the payer and the recipient of payment. Such sounds go with use of ultrasonic frequencies and shouldn’t be perceived by people. Thanks to it for making payment there is no need to exchange personal information, including bank details and a phone number. In Tez function of a messenger is in addition realized. She allows to communicate with contacts and to store history of operations. By means of Tez representatives of small business can accept payments from clients on the bank account and also realize acceptance of payments from the mobile websites in “only couple of clicks”.

The Google application of Tez is available to the Android and iOS platforms. Further it is planned to start it and in other developing countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand.
