Plextor presented its new SSD Plextor M9Pe on the Computex 2017. This is a drive with PCI-Express, whose performance is up to 25% higher than the previous model M8Pe. Plextor indicates that the speed of reading new items reaches 3.1 GB / s. Information on the speed of recording, we have not yet received.
Used memory TLC NAND with 64 layers, manufactured by Toshiba on a 15-nm process technology. The controller is Marvell 88SS1093. The capacity of the first SSD model will be 128 GB, followed by 256-, 512- and 1,024-GB models.
M9Pe equipped with a cooler and RGB lighting. The availability of cooling is a guarantee that SSD performance will remain high for a long time. Also, the manufacturer plans to release the M9Pe version with M.2. But it will not have RGB backlighting.
Plextor plans to start selling Plextor M9Pe at the end of June. On the price of new products the manufacturer has not yet reported.
