Products of the Dutch-Taiwanese company Phanteks is an infrequent guest on the domestic market. Nevertheless, their cooling systems and computer cases enjoy a well-deserved reputation in the rest of the world.
This time, Phanteks introduced the Glacier C350a cooler – they said the best solution for cooling AMD processors. The kit includes mounts for sockets AM4, AM3 (+), FM2 (+), so the device is designed for a very wide range of customers.
By tradition, the base of the water block is made of nickel-plated copper and is closed with a transparent acrylic cover. To give the cooler a recognizable style, the lid houses two aluminum plates, available in frosted black and mirror versions. On the perimeter of the product are RGB-LEDs that are compatible with the LED illumination of most modern motherboards: ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, and GIGABYTE RGB Fusion. By the way, the connection to the LED-controller is carried out through a standard four-pin connector.
The physical dimensions of the water block are 109 x 42.5 x 70 mm, and the weight is 330 grams. To improve heat transfer, an array of ribs with a thickness of 0.4 mm and a height of 5 mm is used. The kit includes Phanteks PH-NDC proprietary thermal grease.
The recommended cost of the Phanteks Glacier C350a is $80. The cooler is already available for purchase in many foreign retail chains.
