The MediaTek company expanded family of mobile processors. Soon there will be a new chip with the designation MT6739 for smartphones under control of the Android operating system.
The product is expected first of all inexpensive devices with support of cellular communication of fourth generation. It is told about support of VoLTE technology and the Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) mode in a configuration 4G+4G or 4G+3G.
The processor contains four 64-bit computing kernels of ARM Cortex-A53 with clock rate to 1,5 GHz. Use up to 3 Gbytes of a random access memory LPDDR3-667 and a flash module of eMMC 5.1 is allowed. The graphic component relies upon the IMG PowerVR GE8100 controller with a frequency of 570 MHz.
It is told about support of sensor displays with permission to 1440 × 720 points. The chip gives the chance to use the main camera with permission to 13 million pixels. There is an option to connect the double camera on the basis of sensors from 8 million and 0,3 million pixels.
Support of Wi-fi 802.11a/b/g/n and to Bluetooth 4.2 is declared, to FM radio and GPS/GLONASS. The integrated LTE modem provides load time speed of data to 150 Mbit\s and information transmission rate towards the base station up to 50 Mbit\s.
It is expected that mobile devices on the MediaTek MT6739 platform are debuted until the end of the current year. The chip shall replace obsolete MTK 6737. Thanks to such processor the budgetary smartphones will be more modern.
