Intel Core i7-8709G with a GPU of Radeon RX Vega M

Intel Core i7-8709G – new processor with a little secret… It is no secret that now engineers of Intel and Radeon Technologies Group work on the Kaby Lake-G processors equipped with the discrete graphic kernel from AMD. New chips are already actively tested by the staff of processor giant thanks to what there was an opportunity to specify their technical characteristics.

Fresh details about specifications of yet not quitted CPU arrived from one Thai blogger who managed to find in a basis 3DMark the Core i7-8709G processor. This chip locates four kernels with support of Hyper-Threading functioning at a frequency from 3,1 to 3,9 GHz in the Turbo Boost mode.

The graphic subsystem is determined by a benchmark as Radeon RX Vega M and includes four gigabytes of multi-layer memory of HBM2. Operating frequency of GPU makes up to 1190 MHz, and the effective frequency of a video memory is equal 1600 MHz that provides throughput at the level of 204,8 Gbytes / page. Unfortunately, details about a video kernel configuration remain in secret so far.

Also, the source reports about existence of 6-core version of the processor which rated frequency is reduced to 2,4 GHz. The first devices on the basis of the above described CPU are debuted in the first quarter of the next year. It is quite possible that some of them will be presented at the CES 2018 exhibition which will take place in the first half of January. Intel Core i7-8709G – interesting and powerfull!
