But NVIDIA has prepared a new mobile video Pascal. In the case of GeForce GTX 1050 (Ti), the mobile version is almost 1: 1 corresponds to the desktop version. In our test lab just arrived a 17-inch laptop ASUS ROG Strix GL753VD with Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor and graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050.

The notebook is equipped with ASUS ROG GL753VD quite productive processor Intel Core i7-7700HQ generation Kaby Lake, but the graphics card is not the most powerful in the line of Pascal – GeForce GTX 1050 with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, but performance should be sufficient for gaming in Full-HD. Here we get about the level of GeForce GTX 965M. Therefore, the cooling system is working fairly quiet. ASUS has installed the vents just below and to the left panel.
ASUS once again paid attention to detail. Aluminum fins for air vents have the same orange color as the leg or ROG logo.
The quality of housing ASUS ROG Strix GL753VD not have to go on compromises. But what about the laptop performance and cooling system? This is what we just discussed below.
Although the card has been significantly curtailed, ASUS is still based on a very powerful processor Core i7, which should have a positive impact on test results. Instead, Intel Core i7-6700HQ the previous generation, now uses Intel Core i7-7700HQ, which Intel has officially unveiled at CES 2017. The card works with a base frequency of 1.354 MHz, Boost mode, it increases, at least up to 1.493 MHz and 4 GB of GDDR5 memory running at 1,752 MHz with a bandwidth of 112.1 GB / s.
However, with the game of any performance I had no problem. The notebook has successfully coped with all current games. Although in some cases the performance was still too weak for the native resolution of Full-HD, but could reduce the level of detail. In Tomb Raider performance was enough for 1080p resolution – we got about 80 frames per second. In DiRT Rally frame rate of 60 fps, in GTA V – 50 fps, which above the level of the game console. The Witcher 3, Total War: Attila and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor performance was much lower – about 30 fps.
We did not find any problems cooling system ASUS ROG Strix GL753VD. Kaby Lake Processor was heated to 85 ° C, but the video card worked with a much lower temperature of about 69 ° C.
