The assortment of motherboards from the Taiwanese company ASUSTeK Computer has been replenished with two new models for the AM4 platform. New items are called ROG Strix X370-F Gaming and Strix B350-F Gaming, made in the form factor ATX and built on the basis of sets of system logic AMD X370 and B350 respectively.
New products are compatible with all existing AMD AM4 processors, support up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and provide their owners with the whole set of tools for overclocking Ryzen chips. For the installation of cards, the older model has two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, operating in x16 / x0 or x8 / x8 mode, one PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x4 and three PCI-E 2.0 x1. Meanwhile, the younger model instead of one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot received a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot, which has four interface lines.
Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming model received six SATA 6 Gb / s ports and one M.2 connector, and the ROG Strix X370-F Gaming card boasts two additional SATA 6 Gb / s ports. The audio subsystem and gigabit network interface are implemented on the basis of Realtek ALC1220 and Intel I211-AT controllers.
Both boards are made in dark colors, and their radiators and I / O panel (in the older model) are notable for the presence of LED RGB-backlight ASUS Aura. It is also possible to connect additional LED strips. Among the connectors on the back are USB 3.1 Type-A, USB 3.1 Type-C (in the older model), and HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs.
Unfortunately, the date for the start of sales of new motherboards has not yet been called. The estimated cost of the model ASUS ROG Strix B350-F Gaming is $ 130, and the model ROG Strix X370-F Gaming will cost customers at least $ 220.
